Weird "Knight Walton" email from c9?

Uh, this appeared in my inbox three (3) times in less than 10 minutes. Did anybody else get this thing?

No, I guess because I'm not in the states

That screams scam.  Anything involving overseas wire transfers like that usually is.

1) "Knight Walton" (or someone working with him) sends you a fake check from within the US.

2) You cash said fake check, get the money, take 10% of it for yourself, and wire the money to Britain.

3) Fake check is returned to you by the bank, you're now not only 90% of the amount poorer, but the bank probably hits you with fees and such.

4) "Knight Walton" (or someone working with him) takes the money you wired to him and runs.  Since it was cash, you can't get it back.

Yea that's a scam.I always get scam e-mails that are sent to my Gmail spam list.Every once and a while I check the Spam list just to see what's there, just before I empty it.

Just another reason to encourage Charles, Adam, Erik, and the rest of the guys to bring us the new c9 Hopefully the new c9 will break their app (assuming they have one)...that is, until they write a new one.

I also got that e-mail, although I'm Belgian.

You may be joking, but I would really like for somebody (Preferably a rather large person) from the Niner community to go and pay our friend a visit Not to be violent, of course, but to see what the heck this guy is thinking when he writes an app against a community website to pester its members with scandolous nonsense.

North Woolwich is E16, so maybe. Perhaps someone should forward this to relevant authorities? Nigerian scamsters are relatively safe from prosecution but if this is actually from the UK then they could be stopped.
