Channel9 is going to become a whole new thing in my life once they launch the updates...

*shrugs* I see no reason to leave, and I still enjoy reading and participating in the conversations here. I registered two years ago and have been around more or less constantly since then. Channel 9 is second only to my gaming clan's forum for length of activity for me (I've been there for five years (the clan is ten years old (that's an old clan (seriously (+ 5 3))))).

I don't know, but the lack of C9Parks is making me want to remove C9 from my favorites,

the update will definitely extend 9 life for many

heck with the new features to combat trolls, even some old posters may come back. -
Well, professionally, I'll be using Channel 9 for quite a while to come as it serves as a great place that we Microsofties can use to "get the word out" on our new technologies (you'll probably actually see a bunch of Screencasts coming from me regarding the new features coming in Vista/Longhorn Server).
As a Niner, I'll probably be around for a long time to come (even possibly past my job if I end up moving on to a different position here).
In the past, the Videos always kept me coming back. However, as I get to meet and know more of you here in the Coffehouse, I wouldn't be surprised if the Coffeehouse gets added as another reason that I remain active here. -
Well, I was lurking here for a year and half before I made my first post and it's only gotten more fun since I started posting, so I'll definently be here for awhile. If other forums I frequent are any indication, I'll be here for a looong time.

I'm waiting for this site to implode in on itself. After all it was built on a lie, perpetuates more lies, and prides itself on having an ignorant community to keep it afloat.LaBomba wrote:the update will definitely extend 9 life for many

I see that you woke up on the "I think I'll be a jerk" side of the bed today?

Channel9 went through an arc called the "Beer28 Saga", this is pretty consistent, actually.

A very long time

Any time I see posts like this, with the little added frothing, a smile comes to my face.
I feel like the day has a little more spunk to it

To be quite honest, that line:
"heck with the new features to combat trolls, even some old posters may come back"
I was hoping would invite a comment from darthvista, where is our disingenuous friend?
Fdisk will have to do I guess, but he's a measly wabbit.. -
I am preparing my latest message. I agree that the features of the new site should tighten the ideological grip on this forum, rooting out all rebellion and lies before they begin.LaBomba wrote:To be quite honest, that line:

As long as the quality and quantity of the videos remains high, I will be a regular viewer and listener of Channel 9.
However, I am seriously considering cutting back on the Coffeehouse due to the time constraints of both work and other professional goals.
Also, I am rather disappointed in the very low participation of Microsoft employees in the Coffeehouse. The same Microsoft employees seem to be posting threads in response to posts. I am getting the impression Channel 9 has a post response team.
I cannot put my finger on it, but something seems to be missing from Channel 9 lately and I am not alluding to departure of Robert.
The ramp up of videos before last year's PDC gave a sense of momentum and direction that seems to be missing lately.
Maybe the ramp up for Windows Vista, Office and Expression will relight the spark or should I say Sparkle.
The Channel 9 Community needs to take Channel 9 to the next level.

I've been lurking here for a few weeks. I still like it. I'm not leaving. Heck, I'm even sneaking back into Microsoft on Thursday and Friday to do some more videos!
http://www.scobleshow.com is where they'll land.

I'll be here for the forseeable future. I've been here for almost two years (Ironically, I just started coding in .NET about 8 months ago) and I expect to need help for a long time!
Plus there are the few occasional gems in the videos section, like the original LarryO pranks interview (not the remake) and the Bill Hill campus tour for the first anniversary. -
I never have a deadline for a forum or something else that I like.
