There are three "two hour clinics" on WPF, WCF and WWF available for those with 2 years experience of VS2003 or VS2005, available free of charge (for a limited period) through Microsoft Learning. You can "Purchase" the .Net 3 bundle here

Thanks! Just "purchased" it.

Thanks!
That’s a great find and with any luck it’ll be just what I need to force myself into finally doing some .NET 3.0 learning. -
Excellent, Ian: "order is currently being processed".

NET3 is worthless for really busy people.
We just have no time for "such cool stuff". We are too busy and overloaded by previous "cool stuff".
PS: next generation developers -
"WPF Buttons Developer"
"WPF ListViews Developer"
...
PPS: How just return "connected" mode back to ADO.NET? -

have to disagree. WCF saved me a ton of work in integrating a web app with some Java web services. Very simple, very automated and it just works!
Admittedly the learning curve was painful.
And here's a warning for people interested in WCF - don't waste money on "Windows Communication Foundation hands on!" one of only two books out there that I could find. It doesn't know how to "teach", it contains a bunch of silly errors that will only frustrate people new to the technology, it has a link to a site that claims to have updated code but which despite claiming to be "RC1 compatible" isn't and the author has disabled comments on the relevant posts (clearly not stupid!). Luckily Google, a German blogger and Alta Vista's Babel got me far enough down the "what they changed" route to get things up and running.
Microsoft REALLY need to keep their MSDN docs more up-to-date than "An example follows" (but doesn't) when basic topics like "Hosting WCF in IIS" are looked up. It's a great technology that's being seriously undersold because of the lack of good CURRENT information around. -

Perhaps you should sacrifice a few rounds of golf to keep up?
There is a big change implicit with Vista, etc., just as there was with .NET vs. Win32. No sense in complaining, really. Golf courses keep getting longer, clubs change with technology, ad infinitum. -
thanks....

Good one Ian, thanks.

*Important*
The "Add to cart" button is not working for these clinics as we appear to be experiencing some technical difficulties.
We are looking into it ASAP. I will let everyone know when the clinics are available. Thanks

And what about the awful experience with firefox? You can't launch training, it looses the login details, and the login box is all over the place in course details.

Actually not all of them are free (like the ones I get through work). So don't make assumptions.

This is on our roadmap to support FireFox in the future. There's quite a bit of work to make it happen.
