I think it's the I-m-Too-Cool-To-Care campaign.

Oh dear lord, I hope that's a spoof.
And why does it want to drop flash data on my hard drive? -
It's like the "I'm a Mac" and the "I'm a PC" guys got tothether & spawned.
-
Not necessarily. That's the Google Analytics script that tracks client visits. This is probably an independent marketing firm , So they don't have to go MS all the way
-
Am I the only one who thinks of Rory when he's watching this?

-
Anyone see the Treo Smartphone in the presentation on the first episode?
-
I'm actually really digging this. It's very chilled. Kudos to Microsoft - I think it's a very approachable and inclusive way of promoting the new OS.
-
The style is similar to that of the comingzune site, so I first thought that it might be authentic.
But the guy says some strange things, and the domain clearification.com is registered to a company in Amsterdam, so it's probably not the real deal. -
It's official according to istartedsomething.com
-
Interresting really.

Speaking of Apple ads, have you guys seen the new ones. They are Stupid, with a capital. S. Steve needs to fire everyone.
-
that's pretty neat

-
It's funny that they are using Google to do the statistic

Btw. why is the Vista logo so different on that page? Isn't there one and only one logo for Vista? -
That's well made and quite funny. You just have to like that kind of humor I guess.
It looks like the original comingzune stuff and also kind of reminds me of "The true adventures of Chad, the guy who was so into Super Monkey Ball Deluxe that he decided to live in a ball".
-
I think the official marketing campaign for Vista will be a lot more like what we are used to from Microsoft (decide for yourself if that's a good thing).
The viral marketing campaign seems more like an experiment to reach out to people who are not typical Microsoft customers (e.g. some Mac users might think that "Microsoft isn't that uncool after all") -
I liked it, i want the next episode
-
no the situation is Demetri Martin is having a comedy tour called These Are Jokes. This is the website for his comedy tour. it is going to be "sponsored by Windows Vista" (or presented, whatever).
microsoft is doing this as a viral compaign, its not their straight advertising
Demetri Martin i think is expected to also do Vista commercials, though I'm not sure; but in any case, those commercials would most likely be more direct, and not just off-topic like his comedy tour website.

It's pretty well done.
That's about it...
