From the 2.6.5 admin guide:
By default, a user’s index is stored in the user’s profile area (C:\Documents and Settings\$username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Desktop Search). -
I stumbled across the link on the download site, probably 2 minutes before you posted here. Naturally I wanted to confirm that the nature of what I was seeing so I checked the coffeehouse. Nothing... So I spent 15 minutes bouncing around the web looking for news.
When I finally gave up, I came back here and yippee. I guess we should feel privileged that it got posted here before the rest of teh world saw it.
BTW is there an official WDS blog? -

What happened to the options to tweak the settings on laptops? Waiting for power toys?
Oh and I've forgotten how to turn off the button in the start toolbar. can't see any obvious option either
-
Good job releasing it. Im impressed. No Win 2000 version available, oh well. Do you guys plan to secure any OEM deals like Google did with Dell or since the release of Windows Vista is so close does it really matter?

What do you mean by "Start Toolbar"? If you mean the deskbar in the taskbar (yeah, I know
), click on the text box, click on the little Windows flag, Deskbar Options -> Display Go Button.
