I found the site, and was wondering if anybody has used it, and what their experience was/has been. The prices don't look too bad, but it all depends on the quality of the videos I guess.
Any feedback is appreciated
Thanks

It depends what you want to learn. By that I mean C#/VB/ASP.NET/Silverlight and at what stage in development you are in. Looking at their front page, there is no really new stuff targeted at Visual Studio 2008 and certainly nothing on WPF/Silverlight/WCF/WWF/Cardspace and so forth. It has been some time since newer stuff was released. I also don't like the early base class library videos on things like threading that are recorded in Visual Basic and no C#.
If your starting out, they already have a bunch ofvideos at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/beginner/bb308760.aspx and at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/beginner/bb308761.aspx
More of their videos are available at http://www.asp.net/learn/ (click on general)
don't forget the SQL videos at http://www.asp.net/LEARN/sql-videos/
That should be enough to get you started, you can then decide to pay for them, but a lot of free stuff is already available

As stated above, this thread is centuries old.

Hi, I have read a couple of book regarding Asp.Net development. It was time consuming ; however, I wish I knew about LearnVisualStudion.net long time ago, I could have cut my learning time to 1/3. Yet, I have registered for life and I quite reading books and start watching the clips.
I encourage whoever wants to learn about Asp.Net and related subjects to register and benefit from this great learning resource

I couldn't agree with Al more! LVS is very concise, and super easy to understand. I've been a member since 02 or 03, and have had the pleasure of doing business with the owner, Bob Tabor. Very professional! Super-nice guy!

I imagine PayPal's dispute resolution centre is a much more effective way to resolve your problem than Channel 9.

EDIT: For the record; the mods have obviously deleted the post I was replying to hence this looks like a random out of context necro (17-11-2010)

Bob Tabor from www.LearnVisualStudio.net is excellent, that is why we leveraged him for the WP7 absolute beginner series we just launched. http://channel9.msdn.com/Series/Windows-Phone-7-Development-for-Absolute-Beginners
