I have a really cool day job that is an MS partner so my Passport login and my certs etc. are linked to their Partner ID.
I also have some products in development on my own time as a "microISV" that I plan to release soon. I'd really like to join the Empower for ISVs program with my own microISV company.
Do the current websites support this type of setup? Or am I forced to only link my certs to one Partner ID at a time. Can I sign up my company in Empower for ISVs, but leave my certs linked to my day job?
I know the MSDN subscriber downloads login seems to support multiple subscriptions, so if I go out and buy my own TechNet or MSDN Premium subscription I should be able to get to it.

From what I remember from looking at this, you can sign up as a 'partner' just before you sign up for empower without the need for Microsoft certs.

Empower is for companies who will become Certified with the ISV Competency. The ISV Compentency is the only one that does not require a certified partner and the only one that can be obtained by having a single employee (yourself).
All other compentencies require having two certified people.
Just because your id is associated with your company does NOT mean that your CERTS are. That is a seperate process in which you have to give explicit permission for a company to use your CERTS.
But yes, your CERTS can only be assigned to one company at a time, but you don't need them for ISV because you need a certified product at the end of two years instead. BTW. The certified for Vista logo is $1,200 which is a shock since it was $10,000 for XP. I am still trying to find out if that logo gives you the automatic Gold Certified Partner status or not.

Shipping within 2 years is no problem, I plan to ship much, much sooner. Actually, I originally planned to ship tomorrow (15th), but that ain't happening by a long shot. Probably more like mid January. Once my product is ready for RTM I will happily pay the $1200 for the certified for Vista logo. Much more than that and I would have to forgo it though.
This sounds really cool though, it sounds like I can do exactly what I want.
