So can Vista be used as a tablet (i.e. support the ink screen)?
I want a new laptop, but also want vista and ability to ink on the screen.

Yep. Everyting but Home Basic. If you get a premium edition, you can even have both Tablet features and Media Center on the same PC.

Yes you can, I installed it on my tablet built in pen and tablet support, still waiting on RealTek to get on there (I need to watch my language) to push some hd drivers! But i guess they get the RTM the same time we all do.
