what is on10 to you?

Jeff had mentioned they are still trying to hone the message to what on10 is and how great it can be - so much so - i got copied on some emails about how i said i had no idea what it was once.

so how would you improve on10 - so we dont think its some fashion site? (cubs vs brownies )

i did this quick  - it's a mess but it makes it more like a video network site that c9guy chills out at..

lots of other little things suggested - titles of stuff etc

the tag line in the header is over the top - and too overt but something that says what it is

what would you write?
or is it good as is - mysterious - just 10 - plain? does that come at the expense of understanding it/popularity?  on10.net is url...

disclaimer - they do have forums running now (finally users can post) - although the ajax editor didnt work using rc2-ie7

Well 'on10.net' never really understood that choice...they need something better.

Plus the site should be more defined, it's too plain, nothing stands out at you, unlike the current C9 which is more busy (as is C9v4), on10 just seems plain and boring, especially the color scheme, makes me want to fall asleep (No offence to Adam, HC and co. )


What's the new guy (Larry Larsen?) been doing...isn't it his job to figure this out...? Haven't visited on10 in a while, if I can't sleep I will.

Edit: Not bad with the logo jamie, they could really use the help with the current 10 logos

as random as i am at times and as much as i like every thing in the whole wide world. I like the 10 stations you added. THere are so many different things on ten to see. gobs of different tags, i wonder if people might think its a little to all over the place? is ten something that should be focused more? any way i like the on10 stations because it seems to do that.  (now i want to see whats on each station )

Is onten a place to chill or a place to do something?

Onten is a place i go to see and read things that I have an interest in. its a great web site to me because it has a little of all my favoret interests. almost spooky.

ya - re larry - i guess thats why i got copied as a "disgruntled user" or something... but im not   i went there 2 or 3 times - no posting your own videos - so i didnt - and didnt get the conversation part.

but i see some 9ers are using the forum..

on ten looks like it struggles to be so many things. is it a health tech portal?  lately it looks kind of like a gamers site . Can Gamers Change the world?  An aviation video magazine? a tech review website? I like the science stuff onten.

things i dont like, i dont like the lay out for threads. to many buttons to push to open up the next one. I have also had some troubles with posting coments there.

I like the hosts- Lara and Tina. they are lively and entertaining. I think they really shine when they talk about the things they like.

IO just seem to have an order of magnitude (pun intended?) more work to de than 9. Their field of Subjects is wider, but their audience is so different, too. They need that guy on the bike w/ his comps each & every Piece they do. It's tour.

But, you don't figure out things in a vacuum.  That's why I have him reaching out to people who don't like 10 and also those that do.

Have him register a C9 account and post in the coffeehouse...
