I'm off there on the 27th for 4 days.
What should I visit and anything not worth the effort?

It's a great city, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
It's worth visiting the Sagrada Familiar (the big cathedral) and my spelling could well be way off.
It's also worth visiting the Palau Guell if you're interested in architecture and to see the awesome attention to detail Gaudi put into everything.
My fiancee visited the Park Guell and thought that was awesome, but I didn't get to go and see it.
There's a whole stack of other stuff to do but I can't remember off the top of my head. -
I went earlier this year, but I didn't stay long. I'd love to go back again just to walk up and down Las Ramblas a couple more times. It's kind of hard to explain but it's the most entertaining street I have ever seen. While you're there head up to the top of the Monument a Colon (I think that's what it's called), which is at the end of Las Ramblas, for a very nice view of the city.
Edit: Here are a couple of pictures I took while there (they're big so I'll just post links).
The Monument a Colon
Not very well stitched together 360 degree view from the top. -

You should visit Ramblas - most popular street in barcelona. You can visit oceanary and places mentioned earlier like sagrada familia, park Güell - those are the "must see" in barcelona.

Great city. I'd recommend hitting the Gaudi masterworks including Park Guell (sp?). The Gothic part of town is awesome - several things to see. Just walk around and take it all in. It's a marvelous city. Familia Sagrad is great, but lots of people...
Gaudi. Gaudi. Gaudi.

Thanks for your suggestions, think I got enough to do now for 2 weeks

Staying in Diagonal Avenue in a hotel called Medium Prisma? doesnt look far from Ramblas and that should be good.
