What are your New Year's Resolutions? Mine are to exercise more. And to make sure I don't forget about this promise to myself, I've already subscribed in a local fitness center, even though we're not 2007 yet. I've started a program earlier this week, and I feel that it was really necessary. I went Monday evening. Thursday, I didn't really feel anything unusual, but when I woke up Wednesday morning, my muscles hurted. I really feel that this will improve the quality of my life. And I encourage everyone who spends too much time behind a computer screen (or TV), to exercise more. Start now, while you're still young, and you'll thank me when you're older.

Mine too. I weigh 101kg and I ought to weigh 75kg (That is my ideal, but anything below 85kg is good)
The instructors at my gym put a program together for me, but I didn't like it. I feel much better if I just go on the treadmill while I listen to podcasts from here, dotnetrocks and hanselminutes. I often go for a swim afterwards (but without the podcasts)
In order to get myself a goal to aim for I've started planning to walk the West Highland Way. It is a 150km walk starting in Milngavie (pronounced mulguy) and ending in Fort William. And so long as the midges (The scottish relative of the mosquito) don't get too irritating it should be fun.

Yep, I'm a right porker at the moment so it's in the Gym for me to.
However as a rule I don't make New Years Resolutions because I never keep them and the wife just gives me grief then.
So this thread should be about New Year resolutions that we've never kept.
Like have you ever kept going to the gym beyond Feb?
Do you leave still leave the toilet seat up ?
Still have a crafty ciggy with a pint ?

You can start with last years and also here -
I have none until now, but I hope it's going to be an exciting year

I plan to work in Shanghai, make no mistake about it, I will move to software industries, and I am looking forward to seeing what's offered there.
and for the tech stuff, I will get my hand wet on Windows Communication Foundation quite soon.

I have a few:
1) Get 7+ "A*" Grade GCSEs, the rest "A" Grade.
2) Body Fat percentage to 11%, or 10%. (Get to the gym more).
3) Bench Press One Rep Max to 90kg. (Get to the gym more).
4) Read AS/A2 Level syllabi for the subjects I wish to take next year.
These are pretty much achievable, the 90kg bench press might be a push though, and is probably the least important, although definitely a desirable one.

I should probably get a 'proper' job.

1. get good GCSE results, especially improve in humanily and language.
2. I sign up for Duke of Edinburgh Award, which is good for my CV, therefore i need to do a service for 6 months, a skill for 3 months , a physical recreation for 12 months, and walk the Yorkshire Dales for 3 days(camping)
I try to start swimming for 12 months right now, and start RSPCA(the Royal Society for the Prevention of Crulty to Animals) after my GCSEs
3. I try to register for 2008 Olympic Volunteer in Beijing, the registration will start at March next year.
4.Get a part time job after GCSEs
5. go through A-level maths, physics and chemistry during summer holiday. -
Make more money and be more fit. That's it.

No, since my monitor is 4:3, so I use a 4:3 resolution.

Get back into shape (bike to work 3 days a week, Ballard to Redmond. Get back into a regular Bikram yoga sufferfest routine)
Do something great at work.
Hang out with my friends more than I did this year.
Take C9 to the next level, around the world!
Cheers!
