Need help on registering MSDN subscription

I've brought the "Visual Studio 2005 with MSDN Profressional" package from Microsoft Website. Today the box of DVD is delievered.

When I want to associate my MSDN subscription with my LiveID, I failed to find the Benefit number/Subscriber ID required.

I tried the "1 alphabet + 6 digit" , and then the 3+5 alphanumeric chars printed on the box and both are wrong, I found nothing like a "welcome letter" there with the ID printed on it, then I goes for the order ID and yet without success.

Anyone can show me how to find it out, or at least how does it look like?

You will get a letter with a plastic card that has your name and number to register on msdn.

But I can find nothing like that in the box... I can find the leaflet that have product keys printed on it, but nowhere on the leaflet has my name or subscriber ID be printed.

I think the card with the ID on it comes in a separate envelope.

Oh, it should be missing then..

We are at the same situation, the shipment arrived today with lots of dvd containing the software, but no subscription card was on the packet. Please let us know how did you fix the situation.

AFAIK you dont get those cards anymore.

EDIT: Its more a letter.

Or so MSDN told me when I had my wallet stolen and tried for a replacement!

But the letter comes inside the UPS packet with the dvd's? In our case nothing more came with the two dvd folders.

I'd suggest to wait a couple of days. Maybe they didn't use UPS but the normal mail to send you the letter/card.

Thats a good point, I dont seem to get shipments anymore. Is it all just online these days? Or havent I tagged it to my live ID again! lol

OK, we called today to the support center and they gave us the code to activate de subscription. It seems that nowadays they don't send the card with the id on it.

Hey aarondslc,  I have the exact same issue here.  No cards inside the package!!!  But when I called the msdn activation team, they did not want to give me a number!!!  Can you give the specific people/number you called, I will give it a try.  Thanks.
