Starting tonight at around 6:30 pm, our coverage of CES will begin over on
Channel 10. We have a number of great interviews from teams all around Microsoft who are involved in
tonight's keynote. Lots of neat surprises.
After tonight we'll continue to have day by day coverage from the event. Our hope over on Channel 10 is to give folks following along at home a way to plug into the action at CES.
Thanks!

I know, I wonder why that happened, here is a demo for you. -
Yeah, now that it's over, i'll watch those videos

Btw, my plan for the kitchen computer was not that fancy. I'm just shooting for a MCML UI for recipes, traffic and somesuch...
Where can I find a 17" touchscreen monitor?

Not sure about the 17" touch screen. but the additions for MCE you mentioned are ones that have been missing for some time. There was once an addin for recipes but its defunct now. A new MCML based addin would be awesome. I've considered working on something similar before. hard to work on stuff like that when "work" is looming over you though.
love to hear how that project comes along (assuming you are planning to work on something)

I want a way to extend the TV experience to the kitchen, by (maybe) using a 360 as an extender... that would enable live TV, but I can do without it for the moment.
What I need are shared contacts (with MCML UI), access to traffic cams, maybe some news (easy with RSS) and a recipe app that can access local ones (possibly imported from here) and access online ones (foodtv.com, for example).
Any other ideas for a kitchen app?

Ok out of my head Mr.
Recipe ML was my intended format for the recipe app. I had also planned to make sharing recipes easy with RSS like flickR does with images. You could then instantly share recipes with family and friends or get the newest ideas from
your favorite chefs.
Access to the weather from inside MCE would be great as well. Many of the weather addins I've seen either target the wrong area (currently the best Vista MCE addin is targeting Australia) or just have horrific unusable UI. Something like the weather gadget added the MCE main UI along with details and say 10day forcast would be great.

To keep track of all our content on 10, check out the CES tag and the CES tag RSS feed to keep track of it.

Did anything go wrong during the presentation?

Wow! This is big news for Channel 10. Primetime, guys, primetime!

Mamma mia, how much marketing is this CES keynote...
Wonder if one of the guys on there did ever use Visual Studio in Vista - More like they only did Visio and Word.
