Exchange doesn't do this though.

Not nativly, but you can hack it a bit.
Exchange is too "corporate-ish", it needs to support more features seen in standalone MUAs, features like:
- Catch-all messages
- Easier configuration of multiple "receiving domains", why am I messing around with Recipient Policies?
- Allow the users to change their display names with ease!

I use 1and1.com. They have several plans available. I don't use exchange, but they offer IMAP, POP and webmail access.

I tried 1and1. It was just way too restrictive.
"Can I keep my domain DNS where it is?"
"Sure"
"Dear customer; if you don't transfer your DNS to us will will disable the account"
"What? Hmm, ok, can I at least add txt records"
"Sure"
"Ok where?"
"Errrr, no we don't do that."
"Can I have my money back please"

I was with 1&1 back in 2001 after being with Angelfire[1], I cancelled early 2002.
For a single simple Linux webhosting account with 3 domains, they charged me £90 a year. With the magic of the Internet I found a cheaper American alternative charging $5 a month, about £40 a year at the time, a massive saving to a 13 yearold like myself at the time.
Thinking back to what the service was like, (I never used much of my account's features) they did have Cron Jobs and FrontPage support (duh) and played nice with Dreamweaver 4's quirky FTP system. I think I might have used their email system, but I never used it as my primary address.
[1]Yes, I was a FrontPage kiddie back in 1999/2000

I'm not after a whole lot of web-space/bandwidth but need a really solid e-mail host, ideally one that allows me to use the Exchange web-client (although exchange nor the web-host thing are required, just preferred).
I would also like one that allows me to setup a catch all *@domain.com e-mail address which not many offer.
So I guess what I'm really after is a highly flexible e-mail domain hosting company that has a small web-space addon, if that makes any sense.
Does anyone know a service like that? Its very hard to find one using Google etc because there are thousands and its hard to tell which are or aren't any good.
NO question -- 1and1.com. Unlike the others when they say 99.9% uptime they MEAN it!
I'm still on the FREE hosting they gave away when they 1st came to the U.S., except 1 super-cheapie account for MS hosting I bought that's blank to get a free FP2003.
Their control-panel is slow and clunky, but the servers are SUPER-fast regardless of bandwidth usuage and unlike other hosts thst shut you down for TOO much traffic per month if you don't upgrade to a more expensive package, they charge you an insanely cheap amount for additional usage if you give them authorization to charge your credit card for additional traffic.
I've had many hosts and 1and1 is teh PK pwnage of hosting. I admit I'm an affliate but for OBVIOUS reasons I won't post a self-serving link.
Instead just go to 1and1.com and check it out for yourself. They offer AMAZING prices on MS hosting. The last time I looked it was as cheap as Linux hosting which is unual in my experience with webhosts. Plus they are a certified GOLD partner that offers a very wide range of MS services at VERY competitive pricing.
One word of caution: They offer EXTREMELY low prices on domain reg/renewal, but I've heard they are insanely difficult to deal with if you want to change registrars.
Personally I keep ALL my domain registrations with GoDaddy.com
Good luck and I hope this helps.
