It seems like the days of people working 20-30 (40?) years with a single company are long gone. What's the longest amount of time you've spent with one company?
Me = 3 years

-
1.5 years, but I am fairly confident I will be staying at my current place for quite some time.
-
The longest job I've had was a 4 year long stint at McDonalds... at my current gig (and first professional' one) I've been at for 3.5 years now and likely leaving not long after I hit 4 years after my tuition reimbursement indentured service ends in 151 days.
-
over 3 and a half years in the current company I work for, prior to that, a year and a half at one of the parent companies. Hopefuly, Ive got a good career ahead of me in this one.
-
9 years at an astronomical observatory. Then 6 at a consulting company.
-
3 years at an Insurance company and 2 years and counting for a software company.
-
4 yrs, 9months. Though only because I was promoted to management. I felt, in the end, I overstayed because it was comfortable.
-
7.5 years at my current job. Can't stand the culture, it's in a bank, but the benefits are pretty good, and I've had some good business trips
Best job was 3 years at Microsoft. Something bass ackwards here. -
almost 4 years at my family's company. i expect to be here at MS for much longer than that. but 20, 30, 40 years? not sure about that.

-
My longest time at one company is here with Microsoft - 12 years.
I worked five years for the company before that, but I really should have left much earlier - like two years earlier, or at least one year.
One of the hardest things to get right is the right time to move on - when to leave your current team and/or company for something else. -
7 Years at my first real job out of college.
6 Years at my current gig. -
6 years in the army (3 mandatory + 3 extended).
Now 3 years 2 months at my current job.
-
3 years and going ....
-
2.5 years for my current job. Starting a new one in march.
-
2 years at my previous job, currently 6 months here.
Not entirely sure how long I'll remain either
-
this will be my sixth year

I promised I would move after 5 just to keep things interesting, though I have my teeth in some real hardcore projects at the mo that will ad a lot of cred to my ever growing CV so im giving myself an extra 12 months before I look at emigrating to Australia
-
5 Years which was too long.
Now I'm contracting longest has been 6 months, shortest been 1 month.
I can't stay places for too long I get to curious about what else I could be doing lol -
1.5 years at my current job, but will be testing the market when my 401k is vested.
