OK, I watched Local Hero
last night an I though a list of feel-good films was on order (it's been a week or two since the last 'list' thread).
Then there's Restless Natives
(another quite Scottish comedy from about the same time).
I also find that Ferris Beuller's Day Off
puts me in a good mood.
And Napoleon Dynamite, of course.
So what's your list?
-
-
I always felt sorry for the Ferrari in Ferris Bueller.
I'd probably put When Harry Met Sally on the list, but then I'm a hopeless romantic. And maybe Bruce Almighty. -
I guess it depends what makes you feel good. I always enjoy watching Aliens

-
I have to say that Blood Diamond is the best movie I've seen in years, and it left me feeling good, in fact.
-
I quite like the newest James Bond film (I don't know the name), and the Fast and the Furious series (especially the first, and Tokyo Drift).
Angus Higgins -
Napoleon Dynamite, The Wedding Singer, Last of the Mohicans.
-
Dances With Wolves. Costner sucks, yes; but the native americans were done incredibly well made me very interested in their culture. And Graham Greene is one of my favorite actors....and is Canadian too

Edit:
Can't forget the Shawshank Redemption -
Little Miss Sunshine.

OMG, he said "feel-good" movies!
...e.g. no "Shindler's List" (though it's an excellent mooovie).

i would'nt call them "fell-good", i would call them "feel-bad" movies, not because they have a sad ending, not really, but because its sad to see the ending of something good, of something interesting
-
I wanted to add "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." But I can't remember whether it ends well or not.
Oh, and the Truman Show as well. -
Doom makes me happy.
What? Its Doom! -
Obviously, this is the ultimate feel-good movie of all time. Especially if you manage to catch a sing-along version in a theatre.
-
Ferris Bueller.
Ed Rooney: I don't trust this kid any further than I can throw him.
Grace: Well, with your bad knee Ed, you shouldn't throw anybody... Its true.

survey course then.[Chuckie nods]Clark: Pretty broad. "History of the World?"...
Now we know who uses Opera or a Mac

Was going to post the text, but the editor on this site isn't the best. Kept destroying my <br> tags.
