SHARES OF MICROSOFT FELL almost 2% today following a cautionary article in Barron's magazine which warned that indications of consumer disappointment with the new Vista software could place the stock at risk.
The feature, "Viewing Vista," noted that even though tech geeks were counting down the minutes until the release of the new Windows operating system on January 31, the event created a "yawn" on the Street.
Microsoft shares lost 0.58, or 1.92%, to close at 29.61 on a day when the broader markets were flat.
* does anyone have the Baron's article "Viewing VIsta"? it says you need a subscription
