I have decided to take my leave of Channel 9. I will no longer post in this or any other Microsoft sponsored forum. I dont believe in Microsofts products, developers, or the company itself. I decided my time will be better served promoting the superior product, Linux, and evangelizing the GPL 3 and giving my input to open source companies. Open Source, GPL3 and Linux has no place in a Microsoft forum and obviously in Microsoft itself..

I know I shouldn't reply to this, but it's late and I can't resist...
Betting is now open: how long before he posts again?

Hey, even Bill Gates wore an apple sweatshirt until they day he distributed windows 1.0 to compaq and all the other thieves then took a dump on Steve Jobs's face.
If you like posting in a forum, you should continue. I happen to think this forum is incredibly lame compared to digg or slashdot, but it's up to you. Especially if you paid for MSDN, you're supposed to have this as part of your service.
These forums are mostly for entertainment and don't really matter anyway. -

No, you're not. -

If that is truly your opinion, then why don't you follow him out the door?
Go hang out at slashdot or digg. You would fit into a large segment of the slashdot crowd anyways, misinformed and full of lies. -

Well, when a user starts posting under the name "budweiser_coder," you will have your answer

Agreed. The remnants of the malted one will keep spawning until the end of time.TimWoodland wrote:

98% of the people on this forum - i find to be nice or polite in general.
if you prefer forums full of angry, mean spirited people - then you couldnt have made a better choice of alternatives.
-
So drive your car into a flooded street yet?

Thank you. Have a good life.

I'm going to relate a parable that was told to me once by someone who was old and wise:
Old Wise One wrote:
Once a traveller who was looking for a place to live stopped in a town and went to the local inn. He went inside and said to the innkeeper "I'm looking for a place to settle down, what sort of town is this?"
The innkeeper replied by asking "What was the town you came from like?
The traveller said "It wasn't a very nice town. People were rude, and didn't care about others. The police were corrupt, and the stores overpriced and stocked with poor quality items."
The innkeeper replied "Well, I'm afraid you won't like this town, it's pretty much the same as you describe"
Disheartened, the traveller continued down the road, and the innkeeper went back to polishing glasses.
Later on, a second traveller came into the inn and said to the innkeeper "I'm looking for a place to settle down, what sort of town is this?"
The innkeeper replied by asking "What was the town you came from like?
The traveller said "It was a nice town, folks were polite and helped their neighbors out. There wasn't much crime, and all of the goods were of high quality and fairly priced."
On hearing this, the innkeeper smiled at the traveller and said "Well, you're in luck. This town is very much like you described your old town, and you seem like you would fit in nicely. Welcome!"

Oh c'mon already....stop with the drama!
Ya know, I get pissed with Microsoft from time to time, but that has NOTHING to do with the awesome MS employees who make themselves available in this forum. I always love knowing that if I EVER have any questions or complaints about almost any IE product, I can speak directly with the source in these forums...for that, I am very grateful.
So take your crap and leave....go join some highschool drama class and eventually you'll grow up and see that although people may not always agree with your caustic attitude, and heavily-biased perspectives, that isn't a reason to throw your hands up run off screaming "Lame!"
I happen to like Open Source Technologies, and I happen to LOVE VS2005 + C#...and at times they both frustrate me...but who cares, that's life, and I don't run things around here. I'm merely along for the ride.

Ah, the famous Ghandi quote later repopularized by Red Hat Linux.

I would wish you good luck with all your future endevours, but you won't need any.
Then you write a complete troll post in which every comment calls you out on never installing Vista in the first place when you claimed to have 2 viruses on your tablet. Then you write a post about quitting channel9. Then you write a book about being abused on channel9. Then you threaten to sue everyone on channel9 for pirating your book. Then you drive into a giant puddle somehow. Then Paolo describes a penguin ravaging a flower vase. It's a hard life being an internet troll. :O -

Now all the oppressed trolls are going to make demonstrations asking for their rights lol.
