You know Jaz, if you were to substitute the words blacks, jews, indians or even minorities in your statement it would sound just like the statements that many of those people make.  Not that I'm saying you're anywhere near like them, the fact remains that it's a dangerous way of thinking.

Damn that was racist...

Then by that logic it would make Jaz's comments sexist.

No, you referring to "those people" and then implying it is bad to be "anywhere near like them" is racist, not any of Jaz's comments in this thread. He's fine and brings up some legitimate questions.

OK once again for the people who miss understood and are trying to make something out of nothing....

First, what I meant by "those people" I meant the types of people who would make that kind of statement.  Not blacks, jews, indians or minorities.  Not sure how you missed it but everyone else got it.

Second, that statement was just to point out the similarities of comments often said by other people but with just with different words.  By that I mean sometimes people say things such as that and somehow don't realize how offensive it is to others.

Third, I also wanted to point out how silly it is to discuss not encouraging a specific group of people.  If you start thinking like that then why stop at women, the next step is something along the lines of the other groups I mentioned.  Why?  Because you've already started down the line of some people perceive discrimination.

Fourth, I never stated that anyone was a sexist; I was just applying the logic set forth by someone else looking to provoke such nonsense.

No wonder they have disclaimers on tv commercials that say toys don't really talk and move on their own.  People can't seem to see things for what they really are.  My comments that is.
