After all of the taunting
on various
softie blogs, at last, the
Windows Home Server Beta 2 forums are public and we the masses can
apply to join.
I just can’t describe how giddy I am about this... now I just need to get myself accepted and track down some API documentation and I’ll be ecstatic.
Any 9ers in yet?

looks like they took down that connect page already -
Apparently you need to be signed out of Connect in order to hit that URL.

I gotta say. Is everyone tired of betas and release candidates like I am? Seems like 2006 was the Year of the Beta. Hoping 2007 won't repeat.

It's always year of the beta in my house, thank heavens for Virtual PC (2007, Beta natch.)
I don't have surplus hardware to use for Home Server, so I shan't be taking part unfortunately.

it was strange, it would not let me log out. went to another computer and did it on that one. -

Nay, I’m just tired of these GD private/invite only ones. -
I'm "In". I ordered a new box to run the bits on, and UPS says it should be delivered today. I'll try to post some impressions later in the week.

I applied. I'll have to scrounge together some hardware and assemble a box, but I'm really looking forward to this, so I hope I get in.

Good deal.
Any idea if you are able to invite people in? If so... *wink* *wink*? -
Although I've seen mention that the initial private beta included some sort of invite mechanism, I'm not seeing anything referring to that in the current Connect site. It would've been an interesting angle for the team to take though instead of the free-for-all signup/waiting list that they're using now.
Anyways, I've got my Home Server set up and have posted some initial impressions here:

You're missing pictures of about 4 reboots during the install surely
