I work in a team of about 10 dev/testers. What with all the new WPF goodness and the need to start a major update of our product the idea of getting a someone with real design skills on the team has been thrown around. One of the biggest problems is that there might not be enough work to keep them busy past the initial redesign.
So I was just wonder what other people with the same team sizes do about art/design work, do you have a full/part time designer, do you contract the work out? Do you find that there is enough to keep them busy? What we would really like is a combined
graphics designer and end user documentation/help writer, do you find that these are complementary skill sets?
