The Democrats are now in control of Congress, they have control over these committees and their own committee's blog is citing a growing number of scientists that have concluded that there is no man-made cause to global warming and that all global warming is
caused by the Sun's manipulation of the planet's cloud cover.
We hear constantly on TV that the Democratic majorities in Congress want to fix the carbon dioxide emissions that they claim scientists claim cause global warming. Prior to the 2006 election, statements by the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment were discredited
on the accusations that the Republicans were biased. What is the excuse now?

blog wrote:*Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has referred to the Kyoto Protocol as a "socialist scheme" designed to suck money out of rich countries.
How is it that caring about environment and fellow human so often is considered "socialist"?
Is capitalism not compatible with these values?

It's George Bush's fault, of course!

Except that it's not about caring for the environment. It's all politics. Create fear, claim that you're the only one that can rid the people of that fear, gain power.
Al Gore, save us!

Republicans are doing the same thing..
"If we fight global warming it will be the end of capitalsim as we know it.."
Sean Hannity was saying this crap just the other day.
And nevermind what the scientific community believes.. if it happens to be in favor of the democrats, we'll just say it is part of their scheme.

Maybe they have learnt from Bush and Blair? (About fear, I mean)

The page quoted is not by the committee, it's from the Minority blog. More specifically Inhofe.
It amounts to no more than a little clique of flat-earthers congratulating themselves on how all their friends agree with them.
Face the facts, or please find an empty world to crap up. Actually, I suggest Venus: it's about the same size as home, it's twice as close as Mars, and as warm as you could possibly want (and then some). Sure it's a fixer-upper, but that should appeal to the pioneering spirit. -

What do you say about all of the scientists who switched from supporting anthropogenic global warming theorists to opposing them, upon reading modern research on the solar wind's effect on cloud cover, which affects albeido? Are they included in your bigotry (see the definitions of bigotry and bigot)?
What about the studies that indicate that Antarctica is negatively contributing to rises in sea level and that it is gaining mass? Do they not demonstrate that global warming should be called regional warming?
What about the alternative and equally valid theories on the solar wind's effect on cloud cover? Do you care that their existence invalidates anthropogenic theories on "global warming?"
What about the statements of global cooling thirty years ago? Have you considered the trend that history repeats itself?

The Kyoto Protocol doesn't fix the climate, its just economic controls. There's nothing we can do to reverse global warming, so might as well lay back and enjoy the 1 degree increase over the next 100 years, or not.
