i found it rather (un)funny that i had to download some crapware to convert an audio file exported from movie maker .wma - to
Windows Wavform .wav - as it is not a choice in Windows Moviemaker
* there are lots of audio export options - but only one format: winmedia
wav works with way more apps and it's your own format - please support it
* 2 of my video/audio apps do not support winmedia
(soundforge, premier) so keeping the earlier format around would be great
ps - export video to mpeg would also be nice for same reasons- also mp3 for audio for convenience would be nice
edit: re:all above: that's only if your making a great product in general though... if your making a great product to promote winmedia - then your done. ignore this.

Alas, this is still the case in WMM 6.0 on Vista.
Is it a matter of adding some sound filters to create the .wav file ?
What safe free tool can be used convert wma to .wav ?
Thanks, LA Guy -
I've used online services such as this before.chupaul said:Alas, this is still the case in WMM 6.0 on Vista.

(note, I'm not endorsing the above service, it's just an example, for Live Search, of the kind of service I have used previously)
