I'm running Vista Business now (Thanks PowerTogether!), but I don't have the fancy Aero thing going....where do I turn that on at?

Don't you have to Activate too? I can't remember as I did it automatically.

I'm guessing you have an nvidia card. The drivers probably aren't correctly reporting the capabilities and therefore no areo.

I'd try it without, Aero works fine on my Vista box, but without it (apart from looking very very *very* ugly) it is fast, fast, fast.
Although I don't know whether that is just 'new Windows install fast', or fast.
