Hi everyone!
I have a strange problem with a file on vista business:
I can't delete it.
I own the file, I own the directory, I have every permission for the file, but I just can't delete it. I can rename it and move it to any directory on the partition except the recylce bin. I also can't delete it directly, neither in the explorer nor on the
commandline.
EDIT: I'm working in an admin account and uac is active.
The file itself is nothing special, just a self-extracting archive from hp with scanner drivers.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

did you install WinRAR ? WinRAR has a shell extension that analyzes every executable for SFX data and could be the cause of the file being locked
if you don`t have winrar installed or removing winrar did not fix the problem try using utilities like "delete doctor" that can delete the file at reboot . -
I had once the same problem in Vista RC1. Had to disable UAC, reboot, delete, enable UAC, reboot to delete it. Weird but happend to me - it was a file on the desktop, which was no .rar, .zip.

Thanks for your answers!

No, I don't have WinRAR, I use 7-Zip.
Paradoxically I was able to delete the file today after two reboots without changig anything...
