It isn't exactly new. They have been around for a while. They are taking over the RadRails (Ruby on Rails) IDE project as well. I hope they do some great things with it.

Aptana has one major drawback as a web IDE - it does not support word wrapping. This is crucial feature when editing long chunks of text but unfortunatelly, Eclipse is broken in this sense.
But the other features, like a true code completion support for JavaScript, are nice (VS Orcas can't compete as far as I can tell). -

Cheers for the heads up tho, TextMate isn't the greatest for developing applications...

That video looks interesting; it's certainly among the best javascript intellisense (for lack of a better word) that I've yet seen.
