Are there any Xaml editors?
Xaml seems pretty verbose and I need some gui tool to do the legwork for me, is there one?
Can I even use Silverlight in VS.NET 2005 (against the 2.0 framework)?

Expression Blend, or the XAML designer in Orcas (which isn't as good as the one in Blend).

In addition, if you want to try out some other cool tools, (not to discourage you from Expression since it's very cool) that support XAML...
Zam 3D is pretty neat, http://www.erain.com/products/ZAM3D/DefaultPDC.asp
and so is Aurora

Object-Oriented Design and XAML
From his Keynote at Devscovery NYC, Charles Petzold discusses writing classes to target XAML, and how XAML often aids in answering the age-old question "What should my objects be?" He also delivers new challenges in making these objects work with XAML. -
Now I know why his books are so stuffy. Not that there is anything wrong with it.

You missed his XMAL Cruncher

Yup, currently, the XAML authoring tools are still quite lacking, ya know Expression Blend ZAML3D or Aurora are all for graphical designers, Cider should sorta give developers some of authoring capabilities, that is quite limited IMAO.
The best you can do is to write those code yourself, this is what I do now, and will do in the foreseeable future:P

I've got a small list of Xaml Editors over on my blog: Xaml Editor List (http://robrelyea.com/xaml/editors)
