Gingrich? I can see Rudy and McCain, but not Gingrich. That's just asking for 0.001% of the votes.

As for Gore, one can only hopes he runs because its easier to partially punch the chad through then get out my pen and write him in.

Few conservatives will vote for McCain.

Both Bush and McCain having hearing problems regarding illegal immigration.

Assuming Gingrich is at the top of the ticket, Rudy is acceptable.

Think about it: South/North, Protestant/Catholic, Conservative/Moderate to Liberal, both leaders with name recognition.

Rudy impresses me both as a leader and speaker. Could carry New York, New Jersey, etc.


No ticket is perfect.

Many conservatives would have a problem with Rudy at the top of the ticket, but if the alternative is Gore/Clinton or Clinton/Gore, they would turn out just to vote against Clinton alone.

I think it would be a very interesting race.

I have few problems with him.

This is going to a race to see who can get the most delegates.

I smell a brokered convention.

Where no candidate has the required majority and a deal is struck.

This could be a very interesting Republician Convention.

I'm not so sure.. On paper, he has the Conservative credentials many evangelical Christians want.. But the conservative Evangelicals I know (and I know quite a bit...) say they would NEVER vote for a Mormon. They'd rather not vote at all, per them.

Kinda like Planned Parenthood and Operation Rescue: both would agree that Spouse Abuse is abhorent... But they would never join forces to prevent it.

This is America, right?

Everyone pretty much agree's that discrimination is wrong, right?

So, why is EVERYONE so biggoted towars him due to his faith?

The National Socialists were of the left not the right, no matter how many times American Liberals get their history wrong and say they were a Right wing party.

National Socialists were opposed to free enterprise, liberalism, representative government, capitalism, and the individual.

For that matter, the fact that Barak O'Bama was raised as a Muslim (his mother's second husband was said to be a radical SE Asian Islamist who introduced Barak to the religion), has had a very profound impact on my view of him. Oh, he is Christian today...

All religeon seems a bit outlandish to me, so why should I think one is more crazier than another? They are all based on miracles and devinity, which is always 'nutty'.

As for their regards of 'minorities' up until the 1960's, we'll I agree that is in poor taste. But are you holding Romeny responsible for those ideologies?

I'm sure if we go far enough back, we can find similar issues with something that is in some way affiliated to every candidate.

But, that doesn't mean the person is responsible for those things, it's called history. Good or bad, it's what it was, we are an evolving race (I hope).

I know I certainly take offense when someone attempts to hold me responsible for salvery, due to the fact I am an anglo-saxon caucasian.
