I think you may have misunderstood my observation. What I was trying to say was that I think (and the response of my children also backs this up) was that the story was boring. I agree, they want to be scared and see aliens and spaceships et al. Just that that particular story was not really what they wanted to see, not enough action, frights (though the scarecrows were pretty good).
