It looks interesting, but usability is terrible. Compare this to a plain list of links which
- doesn't rearrange the links when you approach them with the mouse cursor
- displays a textual description without having to hover over them
And let's not even begin to speak of accessibility or SEO.

I submitted a comment earlier but hit a forum error.
I was saying how its just flash, but its a nice effect, but I really see it being much better as an ambience effect, I hate the menu interaction on it, it ruins it and I hate how it stops suddently on these menu items, it's as if someone had a good idea for it and it was super seeded by someone telling them to add the menu in to it etc..

Is this not the "next big thing" with web platforms like that offer more 'immersive' experiences? Usability is an important aspect but is mostly implemented by business and public service type sites. Sad but true.
