The first offence:
I have the maximum number of computers authorized on my Urge account (3). The problem is that two of them are the same computer, the one I am using now, and Urge doesn't recognize either of them as the computer that I am using right now. I tried to "De-Authorize"
one or both of them to make room for a new authorization, but it says that I am not allowed, since I already deauthorized a computer within 30 days ago.
What was my first reaction? "Stupid Urge. This must be because I reinstalled Windows. Oh, well, I'll just call Urge and have them fix it. Obviously I am not doing anything nefarious, so Urge would defiantly help me out."
The bigger problem:
They only offer email support now. (no 800 number at all.)
Annoyed, I sent an email explaining my situation three days ago, and I haven't even gotten a confirmation email yet.
I'm really mad at Urge now. I may have to cancel my subscription.
...hey, does anyone remember the phone number? Maybe it's still operation for the time being.

You are truly the first person, that I've heard to use the URGE service. Thanks for being the guinea pig.

It seems to me that you might have chosen the wrong place to vent your frustrations. As of late the only thing the people here are good for is belittling people who have opinions.
I feel that anytime a large company such as Microsoft releases a product, that product must be backed by some form of real-time support, not the substandard offshore kind that Microsoft currently seems to be in love with. I feel that Email support is only excusable when it's a small company just getting off the ground and can't afford to hire a support staff yet.

That's insane. Bad URGE.
Might want to consider moving to another subscription service....

Heh.
I'm using URGE as well.
However, given URGE is identical to the Zune Player (down to songs in the library), I'll probably switch over if/when I purchase a Zune. -

Don't get me wrong, the user experience is amazing. Search is almost instant, and browsing the library is a pleasant experience. Being able to download almost any song from the catalog under the subscription plan is very nice as well.
However, it does break from time to time, and no phone support is unacceptable. -

I'm fine with only being able to play the music on three PCs, but only letting me deauthorize one PC per month is insane. No phone support anymore to resolve issues only makes it worse.
As for the 2* media player things, that's fine too. That is managed by number of syncs allowed, which resets every month I believe. And if you have trouble you can always run Urge's DRM reset program, which ironically I was told to use from Urge's phone support when they still had it. [C]
edit:
*actually, it's 2 per PC. So technically you can sync up to 6 devices, but why do you have that many again?
