They have already announced late Feb

Febtober?

It is Feb 2008. They are going to release Win server, Vs.net and MSSQL on the same day [A]

Launch doesn't quite mean they'll be available. I think Windows Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008 will be available then, SQL server will be after the launch date. Just have a quick look around the Microsoft blogs for clarification (http://blogs.msdn.com)

My guess is Windows Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008 will both be available on MSDN before this year ends (not sure on SQL Server 2008).
Vista for example RTMd on Nov 8th 2006 but wasn't launched until jan 30th 2007 and Scott Guthrie has said that Visual Studio 2008 will be available to MSDN subscribers for some time before launch-day. -
Yeah, the link somebody posted the other day here even mentioned that they would be releasing Windows Server 2008 to manufacturing in November of this year. The February 2008 date is a "launch" date.

IIRC server versions of windows have to pass through a big testing programme before release after being RTMed. It has to run for 21 days without a reboot in lots of different environments. -
I'm really looking forward to another release video, that lets us spend 5mins walking from one building to another, and riding the elevator.

In his Keynote at the Microsoft Partners Conference Kevin Turner just announced Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008 will all Launch on February 27 2008.
