We are working on a poster for a presentation and having an odd issue that I cannot find a work around.
We have created a graph (bar, pie, etc) in Excel 2007 with our data and everytime we place it in a powerpoint 2007 slide, the default coloring changes.
Does anyone have an idea as to why and a possible way to remedy this so that our original colors will stay?
Thanks

Just an FYI, but when you solve something it's good-form to post a reply detailing your solution so other people with the same problem can learn from your experience.

As Chemstudent has probably figured out, the default chart colors in Excel 2007 are the accent colors from the current theme. When you copy the chart into Powerpoint 2007, you've got a different theme, so the colors are different.
If you want the colors to stay the same, you either have to select the same color scheme in Powerpoint as is set in Excel or change the colors in the Excel chart to refer to actual colors rather than Accent 1, Accent 2, etc.
It can be a nice feature if you're expecting it (it makes it really easy to change the appearance of a whole document in a consistant manner), but it's one of those little things that can be irritating if you don't realize that's what's going on or how to change it.
