WOW!!
UAC is not some evil thing to turn off...
and some of the things posted -- access to all the fiiles etc....
dude take soke time and learn about how systems work, how to admin a system etc....
for example:
Administrator
Usera
Userb
Userc
each should have folders that *ONLY THEY CAN READ*
so that random folks can't nuke the stuff they have been working on!
and in a decent IT shop the Admin does not just waltz into joe users files with out a good reason and will tell joe what he is upto and why he had to do that...
now this may be your pc and all but one of the problems windows devs have had for a long time was the attitude of "I Own It"
which is not true when an app you write has to be deployed at some corp. they want apps that follow rules and do not just reach out and trash things....
so if you learn how the system works and live with it you might find that your apps get better....
I have seen about 2-3 apps so far that generate UAC prompts they should not.
aside from them I seldom see a UAC.
and if I am going to digg into the secured folders I start with an admin session and go from there....
also learn to use runas -- it helps
