I was watching this episode of behind the code (http://channel9.msdn.com/showpost.aspx?postid=333294)
and Bill Hill showed up at 56:04.
Pretty cool interview all in all.
Now when can we have another channel9 feature video with Bill Hill?

I remember him climbing some small rocks and reading footprints. We definitively need more Bill Hill.
Thinking: I need a camcorder. That would allow me to film the lumber work I do in the forest
Chainsaw stuff... harrrr!!

Thanks for the pointer.
The interview with Peter was terrific, do not miss it!
Now, Charles, as I recall you were cooking something up with Bill Hill.
When is it coming out of the oven?

Sweet!
(I don't think I've actually watched the walk video all the way through... I need to go do that) -

WHOOO!!!
It's strange how everyone here likes Bill Hill so much. He's equally admired by programmer type geeks and creative type geeks.
MS needs more Bill Hills and less lawyers. -

I would have liked for Bill Hill to also answer his own question. It's a great question.

Texts Rasterization Exposures - An attempt to improve text rasterization algorithms using only publicly available information
http://antigrain.com/research/font_rasterization/index.html
This is quite interesting article that posits that that we are in some kind of vicious cycle of low resolution displays because of what has been done in Windows in the past in the way of preferring perfect looking text instead of the kind of what you see in Adobe Acrobat, slightly blurrier, not too much, but scalable. -
It's an interesting article. I would very much like to see Bill Hill's response to that (Charles!).
I think it's interesting that the author of the article pleads for sub-pixel glyph positioning. As most of us know, WPF does this, and the amount of complains about WPF text quality is enormous.
Is this once again a no-win situation?
