There are so much information missing here.

1. The sketch it self.
2. Under what circumstances was the sketch made?
3. Had there been sketches used before for threatening purposes?
4. Had the child been acting hostile before?

1) here's the sketch
2) the context was he was doodling on his notebook
3) none mentioned, although the school didn't evaluate him at all. It was purely reactionary.
4) No mention of any previous troubles.

Political correctness deals with stuff like saying black people like fried chicken -- so I don't know if this had anything to do with PC.

Hehe, my friend claims (I have no reason to doubt) that he completely defaced his final GCSE French paper (he didn't do any of the coursework or turn-up for the Orals so he was going to fail regardless).

Apparently he drew pictures of the French flag burning with comments like "Yes, it is burning" and numerous statements mocking the French miltary record.

As you can tell he had a slight dislike for the French language.

You mean like beeep, beeep and beeep - not to mention beeep or a certain female singers beeep falling out of her beeep.  That display of human anatomy was truly beeep shocking and should be beeep forbidden beeep now.

While I'm not going to trawl through news media for this thread, I think this sort of thing pops up regularly. On the other hand - some cases will be distortion through omission of facts.
