I'm experimenting with a new piece of BB Code markup for C9 ... (remove dashes, I'm just trying to prevent it from being interpreted)

Not. Teh. Funnay.

Nice video

off-topic: Interesting that you were able to embed the soapbox video into the thread. But you probably just went into the DB and inserted it manually

embedding the soapbox video was the whole point of posting this... I just tried to find something relevant to embed.

Hmm, nice feature. -
Regarding the video Bas posted, I wonder how many attempts that took.

-
it's an emulator. speed reduced to 1 frame a second.
some calls are too close to be real. -

Some of those jumps, he already knew what was coming...it would look to amount to a fair bit of practice.
What better way to spend the summer?

A buddy of mine didn't pass once in school because he played Super Mario 2 on the GameBoy until he did the whole game (from start to defeating the final boss) without eating one mushroom and dying once. He started somewhere in December and did it by May or June.
And he didn't play it in the emulator but on the real GameBoy. -
Your friend is my new hero.

Once you get the hang of it, SMB is extremely predictable. I used to be able to do similar without too much effort but I haven't played it in eons.... -

Trying to quote the video...
Edit: OK seems to remove the video, because it is quoted with the embed tag... but anyhow it is leaving the link

I think that is reasonable, removing the video is good... leaving the link doesn't seem bad...
[silverlightstreaming accountid="32" appname="sllogo" width="258" height="100"]
Edit: Added Silverlight Streaming support as well, because Adam Kinney bugged me to... remove starting dash, and replace with your own accountid, appname and appropriate width/height to make it work
[-silverlightstreaming accountid="32" appname="sllogo" width="258" height="100"]

quoting the SL bit should strip it out, like the soapbox video... -
works w/ FF! Cool.
does it work w/ YouTube?
more ways to express ideas. => c9 becomes more fun.

No YouTube support at this point... we are investigating the use of Soapbox and/or silverlight streaming for some of our own content publishing so those are the areas I decided to enable at this point.
Hopefully any Niner wanting to publish their own content will find these two options to be enough for now. -

Yes, an enterprising Niner could take advantage of this and write their own user poll app to embed into a thread for example. Very cool! -

Hah! How subtle that hint was...
