And on the comedy side of things, add any one of the Marx Brothers' classics (e.g., "Duck Soup") and W.C. Fields in "It's a Gift".  A number of Carg Grant comedies (mention has already been made of "Arsenic and Old Lace") certainly qualify, too.  And don't forget Laurel and Hardy!  (As I did, before I hastily edited this post.)
