Deforestation is clearly visible from space, everyone has access to those photos.I remember getting up to ten snow days a year off from school when I was a kid, today they might get two snow days.I've lived by the Atlantic ocean most of my life and I can see the tide rising higher every year.

Me too. I'm in Rhode Island, surrounded by ocean.
Ah, now I see it, seems pretty consistant since 1900, must be due to deforestation and Co2! -
The Nobel committee awarded Al the Nobel prize because the world community knows intuitively as well as scientifically that global warming is upon us and the regurgitating Raymond's don't have an iceberg to stand on.

You might want to try Weather.com, but I guess the result will depress you.
If you check-out that link you'll see that the weather folks are happy Al won! -

Again, I'd like to point out that the 1994 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Yasser Arafat.
Just like the current peace prize was not simply given to Al Gore, but instead was given to Al Gore and the IPCC, I give you:

1994 Nobel Peace Prize winners wrote:
1994 Yasser Arafat (ياسر عرفات)
Shimon Peres (שמעון פרס)
Yitzhak Rabin (יצחק רבין)
Palestinian
Authority
Israel
Israel"for their efforts to create peace in the Middle East"
You aren't telling the whole story and you know it.
Actually, I was unaware that Arafat shared the prize in 1994. So accuse me of ignorance if you like. But you don't know me well enough to accuse me of malice. Until you do, keep your trap shut. -

I'm sorry if that seemed more aggressive than it needed to. I assumed that since you were able to find an obscure piece of data about who has also received the Nobel prize, you'd have also taken the time to look it up. Now I know that it's probably just another "Talking Point" flying around teh intarwebs designed to discredit both the Nobel committee and anyone who receives it.

Great, he won a prize, mission accomplished. Hopefully that'll shut him up for awhile.
Yes, because instead of genuinely attempting to raise awareness about climate issues, Al Gore was in it all along for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Gimme a break.
You don't set out to win the Nobel Peace Prize, and you don't stop once you've got it. The aim is the solution to the problem (in this case ignorance about Global Climate Change), and the ultimate aim is not the Peace prize. The Peace Prize is just a thank-you card from the UN on the way.

Oh, just go away. Not everyone has sold their soul to politics and money, and your claims that the Nobel Peace Prize awarders are unprincipled is unfounded and frankly outrageous. You might disagree with their decision and they might have got it wrong, but to suggest that they did this because of their lack of principles is just plain ridiculous.

I love it when people say this. Or even better, when someone says, "The debate is over."
A comment like that begs for additional debate. My guess would be that one of the last things that Galileo heard before he was executed by a concensus of science was, "The debate is over."
It's just downright hilarious!

I'll have to watch it when I get home. I'm sure it will be well worth the wait given your track record of posting the most heinously unfunny video links I've ever seen.

Yeah, I think so. Definitely a reminder not to trust everything you read on the Web and vet the "facts" before citing them.

Wow. Make a propaganda film and get a prize! How nice.
-
No dog is an island....The only prize the propagandist got was cash from the oil companies.
Nobel Laureate Al Gore was honored for saying what the people of this small planet know is true. -

This is a quotation from John Donne (1572-1631). It appears in Devotions Upon Emergent Occasions, Meditation XVII:
"All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated...As therefore the bell that rings to a sermon, calls not upon the preacher only, but upon the congregation to come: so this bell calls us all: but how much more me, who am brought so near the door by this sickness....No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."
