A composite image of the Earth that I downloaded from NASA a few years ago and have had as my desktop ever since.
It appears as if the whole Earth is in night time, with no clouds. Its quite an amazing view, you can clearly see the highly populated & well off areas, you can pick out the nile, and the rough route of the trans-siberian railway. I have yet to tire of it

The default blue, but darkened to RGB 0, 56, 106. Leaving the default blue unmodified is just too bright for me.
