I do miss the 80s, Jamie.

there was alot of good stuff people call "80's"
bah...
remain in light... fine art of surfacing... london calling...
the 80's rocked
Here's a great 80's song.
The song starts at around 3:30
AND from the band with the song called 80's...
@DCMonkey:Great stuff.
The 80's was long ago enough that people are revisiting some of those styles and it doesn't sound cheesy. It usually takes around 30 years for this to happen.
For example... Zola Jesus has quite a bit of Siouxsie in her and even a bit of old timey Bonnie Tyler over the top dramatic singing that someone who lived through the 80's wouldn't think of doing because it's not as original sounding to them.
Crystal Castles covered a Platinum Blonde song then Robert Smith recorded some vocals for a newer version of it.
Now there's modern 80's music.
@DCMonkey:I spent a fun evening at a party in Peckham talking to Elizabeth Fraiser.
Did somebody say 80s?
Did she speak in a made up language ![]()

@dentaku:No, but I know how she does it. It's not made up at all.
I've always liked it when people use whatever words suit the song even if people don't understand what you're singing. Jónsi of Sigur Rós has done similar things in the past.
