Q&A: Inside the Indictment of Ted Stevens
The "the internets is not a truck, it's a series of tubes" senator is finally being indicted for lying about receiving $250,000 from an oil contractor. I don't think they'll let him be chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee anymore.
What's weird is that he put out a song about it.

It may be a good analogy, but I'm not ready to give credit to a guy who's the chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, whose job is to regulate the US internet, and uttered these words:

Exactly. It's not so much that 'series of tubes' is a poor analogy, it's that the guy only has a rudimentary grasp of what he's supposed to know about. The series of tubes thing is just the most memorable soundbyte from that speech.Minh said:ManipUni said:*snip*
