Let's start off the new year (fiscal year, that is, a few months into it...) by talking about what YOU want to see more of on C9 (in terms of content - interviews, text posts, screencasts, etc).
So, what do you want to see, Niners?

Everytime this discussion comes up I ask for the same thing:
Where appropriate so you don't break any NDA's or spoil product team surprises/launches, a schedule of upcoming interviews so that niners can submit questions in advance.
I know that that isn't directly related to what you asked but it is still my #1 feature request. In terms of content, I would like to see more Going_Deep as that is the show that I tend to stay engaged with from start to finish most often. Particularily the ones that deal with Windows OS design, because even though I will probably never have to work at that level of the stack, I just find it interesting to watch.Kevin

A bigger Add button. Right now, by Fitt's law and personal experience, it's easier to hit "Cancel" than "Add".
-
some form of "Live" / "Interactive" sessions, by way of example the old DotNetRocks shows.... they used to have an IRC chat open while they recorded the podcast, the recording was editied and published later.
the chat-room gave viewer's / listener's a way to interact / ask questions / make comments.
I think this kind of approach might be usefull say once a week?
possibly use one of the WIndows/MSN mesenger apps to provide a chat room
or some use of live meeting tech ? -
I would like it if you could find a 5 minutes spot in your interview where you ask people why they came to Microsoft and what they learned from that... also what they did before Microsoft.
Another interesting question would also be: what are the projects that you worked on so far? -
When you interview people, I'm very interested in the story of where they came from, and how they arrived where they are now.
How musically inclined are they? How athletic? Interesting facts that most people don't know about them.
I guess it echos littleguru comment a bit...5 minutes would be sufficient..or more. -
Indeed. I've talked to LittleGuru about this in person (in fact you will see him soon in a technical interview we just shot exploring what the team he's interning on is doing) and it's something that's been mising from C9 for a while now. You'll see more of this. After all, interviewees are human beings and the human side of the equation needs to be explored. I get too caught up in the technology. This is a flaw in my conversational technique that I recognize and will correct.Red5 said:When you interview people, I'm very interested in the story of where they came from, and how they arrived where they are now.

I wouldn't reduce the tech part! That's an important thing at C9. But I think if you have 5 (or a little bit more) to let us understand more about the person that would be awesome. Like, you know, "This week on Channel 9" has the "pick of the week" section and you could have some random "the person behind the code" sectionCharles said:

We should actually do a "niner interviews Channel 9 team/part of team/team member" interview. Could be funny. -
Charles is interviewing us about what we've built for a Going Deep episode. Maybe something could be worked out while we're in "interview" mode.littleguru said:

Maybe also a little bit what you guys do, what you did before working at Microsoft... stuff like that. The C9 team isn't known that much. But it doesn't only include you guys but also Dan, Charles, Brian, ...HumanCompiler said:

Maybe take the first 5 min for those questions. All you have to do is convince Charles.littleguru said:
