Apparently Steve's also a PC... I don't think he's helping the campaign, though.

someone needs to rent steve Speed Racer and Iron Man (just saw both over the weekend - excellent)
if you notice - the same theme runs throughout both: ideas and purpose - trump short term profit -

Is Ballmer Helping or Hurting?
Hurting. He is a joke outside of Microsoft. Microsoft really needs to get their marketing up to snuff. It's pretty sad that this guy is almost running this company that once used to be a powerhouse.
I'll miss you, pre-vista Microsoft. ;-( -
I hate to say it, but the VP for marketing at Microsoft must do a massive face-palm everytime Ballmer goes in front of a camera.
He's a great businessman, but he should stick to what he's good at. I hate to say it because it's not his fault, but he's not charismatic in the way that, say, Steve Jobs is, and so he should leave the marketing to pampered pretty actors that he can more than afford to perform on his behalf. -

He definitely makes for an interesting speaker and interviewee. But I agree, sometimes his passion for Microsoft does get a bit out of control. Still, that's probably better than being like the dull CEOs you see at most other companies.
Edit 1: That clip is probably a viral video orchestrated as part of the campaign. I find it hard to believe that Steve would have got someone into his office to record him just for the fun of it. -
Microsoft is so dead. This company hasnt done anything innovative in 15 years and has become onsolete. windows is and always has been a legacy OS. Ballmer couldnt find a job anywhere else, this is why he is still with MS.tfraser said:evildictaitor said:*snip*I think that usually when Steve is talking on camera he's actually pretty good. To be a huge company with so much demand for your product that it is nessisary to fight off monopoly cases against the United States government, that the entire of the business sector relies on your product and that you make $561 of profit a second, which is more than corona_coder makes in a week.
as to Ballmer finding another job anywhere else: Why would you change jobs from the one that made you a billionairre?
as to you being more interesting - how much news coverage have you got this week (rounded to the nearest column inch)? That interesting huh. -
Just out of curiosity. How long have you been using forums?corona_coder said:

I totally understand your motive and action, my early days on Gamespot is the same as you. And I know you still think you are right and we are ignorant. But, I believe eventually you will get tired of trolling. I would like to make an estimate based on your expeirence. Afterall, everyone starts out as a newbie, we all learn eventually. -

I absolutely love you corona_coder and everyone else like you. People like you keep a LOT of people from comming near your community or touching open sores stuff... I love it. Keep it up! You might laugh and make fun of what I just say, but it is the truth. I know a LOT of professionals and business people who wouldd't touch stuff you promote even with a long stick and a glove.
Like when I recently was trying BSD ( since I dislike the Lunix community's RTFM mentality ) so I thought BSD is a bit more mature and classy... oh how wrong I was. It's about FREEDOM they say, but if you ask them questions they ban you from their forums. IT'S ABOUT FREEDOM they tell you... but why am I not free to use all of my hardware with it then? Long story short, I deleted my BSD installation just like I deleted my Lunix installation.
I mean, damn this evil corp. Microsoft which allows me to do stuff in matter of seconds by easy gUI, damn them to make all of my hardware work in their OS, damn them for giving me so many choices! ...damn them to hell I tell you!
...as those people said in the BSD forum "All we need is a black screen with a blinking cursor, anything else is useless bloat."
They say "We got no reboots, no crashes, no bugs... only innovation"... sure sure, keep on dreaming. and not to mention no Visual Studio, No MSSQL with amazing gUIs for management, no IIS, no .NET|LINQ|etc., no consistency, no nothing ...BUT I CAN HAZ SURF TEH INTARNET AND GOOTUBE!
...Not even worth my time testing that junk.
Indeed, Microsoft is so dead. I mean damn they hardly even earn any money these days : http://www.microsoft.com/msft/earnings/default.mspx ...Microsoft reported sales growth of 30 percent year over year, listing $6.5 billion in profit on $16.4 billion in sales in the second quarter. The $16 billion in revenue exceeds Microsoft's previous record by $2 billion...
*LOL*

You know the only evidence that those ads were made on a mac is a lone piece of metadata info in a picture of the Hodgeman impersonator in a New York Times article right? It's entirely possible the picture was simply rezised in Photoshop on OS X by the NYTs, rather than the entire ad campaign being developed on them.

Overreactions, I thought it was entertaining.
Isn't that the goal?
Admit, you watched it more than once? -
Go Balmer go, you good thing!
Despite all the douchebags that judge him cause he's been prematurely balding since leaving uni, he's a brillant guy that is passionate about MS... By silencing him your really silencing all passionate MS lovers, like me! SO LEAVE HIM ALONE!
