I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out with comparison graphics. I'm not a graphic designer, so I don't generally notice 1-pixel level alignment errors.

For the most part IE8B2 will serve better than IE7.
I use it for everything ASP.NET, Silverlight, etc.
The new Compatibility button in IE8B2 works much better than IE7 Compatibility mode did in B1.
There are some sites it will still fail on, for that I drag out Firefox 3.0.2
I'm also running Mobile Firefox from a USB stick for tests:

Those Portable Apps work great for testing.
Final note: IE8B2 is syncing with Outlook 2007 Pro, Live mail and all of my RSS feeds with no issues. Works great.
