I was trying to watch some videos on youtube, while refreshing the forums here when I almost lost it
I'm sick of waiting 30+ seconds for the content to update. I finally realized that I had IETab
installed for testing webpages without having to switch between browsers. So now I've got one IETab dedicated to C9 in my FF browser. Works great.
Channel9 Team, you should advertise this plugin on your front page when the user-agent indicates it's firefox ![]()

Strange. Channel 9 is intolerable in Internet Explorer for me (the Javascript is far too slow).

Since you addressed C9 Team, I feel the need to reply

As far as our own experience goes, the site runs really well in FF 3.x, faster in both IE8 and Chrome .... slower in IE7 ... can't really say about anything else because I only use them for testing. I can't imagine we'll be suggesting people stop using FireFox to visit the site anytime soon.
Our #1 browser on the site is IE7, so it is unfortunate that it seems slower there, but considering how fast our users moved to IE7 I expect a quick move to IE8 as it gets close to release. #2 is Firefox I believe (IE6 is close, could be #2 or #3 depending on the date range I check) and then everything after that is < 2% so it isn't all that relevant to try to determine their ranking...

Chrome is great for C9 actually. I just hope that the team will get around to fixing the editor so it will work in Chrome.Duncanma said:Since you addressed C9 Team, I feel the need to reply

C9 is always broken due to my choice of browser (Fx 3.1, Chrome), why can't it be forward-compatible like every other website I use? I'm not going to clog up my browser with add-ons just so I can get ONE website to work normally.evildictaitor said:

How is the EvNet team supposed to know what will and won't work in a browser from the future? If it's broken in Firefox and Chrome then use another browser until it's fixed. I use IE 7 and never have problems with either compatibility or performance.

annoyed by C9 on IE Mobile!Rowan said:

I'm not suggesting you "clog up your browser with add-ons" - I'm suggesting a single addon to restore tolerable behavior to channel9 for Firefox users.Rowan said:

@duncan - I'm baffled at what would cause C9 to take upwards to 1 minute to refresh content for me in FF3, and yet work perfectly for you guys there in FF3.

What are you guys smokin?

I use IE8B2 here with no issues at all, works great. (Vista 32, nVidia SLI) -
Use Firefox 3.0.2 for about 15 minutes of browsing, ajax-refreshing, and posting.wisemx said:What are you guys smokin?

Shall I post a Video of IE8B2 and Firefox 3.0.2 being used from my Vista box on the Coffeehouse?jonathansampson said:

Honestly IE8B2 is working best for me here.

I wouldn't mind. I'm just curious if anybody else is having the same experience I'm having with Firefox 3.0.2 on c9. Duncan says there's no problem from MS, but I am definitely having a problem, and I know at least a few other c9 visitors are too. I might make a small video myself doing a side-by-side of IE and FF from my box.wisemx said:

Just recorded my video. I'll upload it to youtube now.

My firefox (3.0.1) is dead slow on C9. I have a few addons installed, but I even tried to disable them, but it didn't work.jonathansampson said:

Yeah chrome is my first choice, I hope the C9 team does fix the editor for it. Does the editor even work in Safari?evildictaitor said:

Why not Support IE, Firefox and Webkit? Three major browsers.
