I've been developing applications that integrate with office for a few years and welcome the new VS.NET Office integration.

The problem I have is that most of our customers did not upgrade (and we didn't either) to Office XP or 2003. The .NET stuff can't be used with Office 2000. I can't tell you how unhappy this makes me. I am VB (VBA) challenged, not a biggot, just can't seem to read a language without { and ; Smiley. I've been programming for 15 years and never got the hang of VB.

We are in the process of moving our entire product from J2EE to .NET (we love it).

Are there plans or ideas of how to integrate managed code with older versions of Office?

Thanks for your time,

Richard
