Can it save my screen?NeoTOM wrote:You know you want something in a screensaver. What?

Screensavers are useless, I have strict power-saving on my monitor instead.
-
Why would I care what's on the screen when, by definition, I'm doing nothing with my computer?
-
I want random Channel 9 posts to appear, so that when I'm not at my computer reading channel 9, I can be away from my computer reading channel 9....

TV static. Well, why not?

How about a screen saver that helps build the MSN search index?

An RSS screensaver that shows the latest updates.

Well, that's the base screensaver template in C# Express 2005. -

How about a screen saver that runs lots of pointless calculations on static which is part of a huge global network of computers running pointless calculations on static before each screen of static is pointlessly sent off to a central server where, as it ALWAYS does, says "this is pointless static" and bins the data.
Or Seti@Home as its also known... -
I have no need for a screenserver.
I've got the UD client running 24/7 on all my boxes (except when I'm gaming), so there's no advantage to having a "save the world!" screensaver.
I just tell it to turn my monitors off after 25 minutes... it saves a lot more power than using a screenserver. -

That's actually the C# express starter kit
