I thought the goal was to publish the sessions 24 hours after they took place. Doesn't this mean we should already have videos for Sunday. Saw the keynote from yesterday. Like to start getting my feet wet with the more important content.

That's preconference material. It's not going to get published.

There are sessions from yesterday up though, like this one: http://channel9.msdn.com/pdc2008/PC12/
or
http://channel9.msdn.com/pdc2008/TL47/ (VS2010) -
Definitely need to surface these items better. Maybe I'm missing the simple listing of published sessions.Duncanma said:There are sessions from yesterday up though, like this one: http://channel9.msdn.com/pdc2008/PC12/

I guess my critique would be make it more obvious what has video published. Maybe an Icon on the Agenda grid items. This could be surronded by a link that took you straight to the Channel9 page instead of it being a two click process. The link to the Channel 9 video page is also below the fold on a 1024 X 768 display. (https://sessions.microsoftpdc.com/public/timeline.aspx) Its a lot of post backs to the server to get to a video.Bas said:

All I am saying is the UX looks to be a little rushed. They could of learned a lot from the VisitMix design. (http://sessions.visitmix.com/) I think Visit Mix it very obvious how to get to the content. 1 point Channel 9 team (creators of VisitMix) 0 points Vertigo (PDC site creators).
VisitMix its organic content centric its hard to say if all the sessions were made available. PDC it is agenda centric where you could easily miss the fact that the content is available. Next time guys maybe include the agenda and make the content easily discoverable. Why tape the whole thing if you have to dig to find the content. -
edit: nvm looks like the video links are missing ha
Agreed, there's no obvious link atleast on C9 I could find to the published PDC stuff.
However going through the links in this thread I found there's a ton of stuff here: -
I droped a line on the pdc feedback email. I am told that there should be some type of icon being put in place in the agenda screen. So hopefully the problem is shortlived.androidi said:edit: nvm looks like the video links are missing ha

Can't complain about how fast I got a reply. Kudos to the PDC folks on that. -
If you want, you can follow this RSS feed: http://channel9.msdn.com/posts/pdc2008/RSS/?tag=videos to see all the sessions that have videos available, or you can go to http://channel9.msdn.com/tags/pdc2008.videos/ to see them on the siteandroidi said:edit: nvm looks like the video links are missing ha

Working on the icon change right now -
Yes, we're working on this so the indicators show up on the agenda builder. For now, here's an RSS feed so you can see new sessions as they come online http://channel9.msdn.com/posts/pdc2008/RSS/?tag=videosforeachdev said:

Could you guys have a website here on Channel 9 that shows them? Or a link on the front page that redirects to the RSS for the sessions? I was searching for this stuff too and couldn't find it before you guys posted the RSS link. A website here on Channel 9 that shows the list of sessions and redirects to them would be AWESOME...jeffsand said:

Wouldn't a big "HERE ARE THE PDC SESSIONS" button on the front page make sense? And have that lead to a list of all the published session videos? I mean, an upcoming icon in the agenda is fine and all, but having to visit a specific forum and find this specific thread to read a specific post that mentions an RSS feed that happens to list them all isn't exactly convenient.jeffsand said:

To extend this, any kind of downloadable form would be helpful. I'm on a slowish connection here and I can't stream any of the PDC sessions, but I could download the sessions and watch them later.timcd said:

Give us downloads, please.

Downloads will be there very soon for all currently available sessions ... very soon, in fact they are already there for some.
MP4 versions are coming, but only of the slide deck + audio ... because they'll be 320x240 ... WMV versions of the slides+audio are on there way as well. These other formats will show up after the conference ends I believe, encoding and uploading all of the camera + graphic feeds is being done first.
