But, you don't have to hunt for it specifically. You can just give your taskbar a swing and always land on that thing. I find that a better alternative than having to actually look for that teeny icon. Your mileage may vary, but with cursor acceletarion, I don't really care how far I have to travel if I can give a quick, small jerk to the right and am guaranteed to land on the right button, while a quick jerk left instantly brings me back to the start button and taskbar icons.
If you're emotionally attached to Quick Launch and want to restore it (I personally like the shortcuts as opposed to drilling down the Start Menu Programs or logo key - # to get to my programs),:
- right click on the taskbar
- select Toolbars
- New Toolbar...
- in the Folder field, type in: %AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch then click the Select Folder button
Your Quick Launch Toolbar is restored. You can now adjust to taste, such as unchecking Show Text or Show Title, etc... Hope this helps ![]()
